Here is a collection of Filipino comfort food that I created when I was extremely homesick during the pandemic travel bans. I imagined them as a series of editorial spots to showcase the best memories I have of sitting with family around noisy birthday parties and Chinese-style lauriat gatherings.
These mock spreads feature a beautiful typeface named Quiapo Free, created by an amazing Filipino type designer Aaron Amar on Behance.

The title page features my yaya in the garden, with a parol hanging above the lanai. She is always the most excited for the holidays, putting up decorations as soon as September 1st hits to mark the upcoming Christmas season.
